The Warriors
The Warriors

Darien is a soldier of the Baseball Furies. He was played by Steve Chambers and Rob Ryder.

Description[]

Darien wears black and purple war paint. The black paint is on the right side of his face, whilst the purple is on the left. However, another Fury has the same face paint, but swapped.

In The Film[]

Darien is seen in getting his baseball bat after Cyrus' death, and hearing the hit on the radio. Next, he appears again with his team, chasing The Warriors. At the climax of the fight, he clashed with Swan, attacking him and blocking his attacks, but despite putting up a good fight, he was swiftly defeated by him. He is the last Fury in the film to get wrecked by The Warriors.

In The Game[]

Darien appears during Blackout, where he and his gang are beating up two Rogues. He is later seen in Home Run, which doesn't play out much like the film.

Trivia[]

  • Chambers and Ryder both played Furies with the same-colour face-paint.
  • Coincidentally, there is a professional baseball player called Steven Chambers, with the same name as the actor.
  • According to an old ESPN blog he wrote about filming the Warriors, Ryder mentioned being a filming assistant to Walter Hill and when Chambers suffered a broken kneecap, Hill asked him to step up, due to him having an athletic background, playing college basketball at Princton University.
